We reimagined the traditional cloud backup explainer through a bold, retro-futuristic lens that breaks category conventions. Using a mix of Veo3 and After Effects, we created a high-energy film that positions Eon as the smarter, future-ready alternative to old-school backup systems, proving that data doesn’t just have to sit securely, it can actively work for the business.
Challenge
Eon wanted to engage enterprise IT professionals and help them understand its unique value: transforming cloud backup from a static safety net into a dynamic, intelligent asset. The goal was to create a brand-led explainer film that cut through the category clutter while staying true to Eon’s distinctive retro-futuristic brand world, all on a lean production budget.
Approach
We began by reframing the story, contrasting the old world of manual, locked-down backups with the Eon way: seamless, automated and value-driven.
The film was designed to debut on LinkedIn as the hero content for cloud IT professionals, with the flexibility to extend seamlessly across multiple touchpoints including events, the Eon website and paid media placements.
To bring Eon's retro-futuristic aesthetic to life within budget and with speed, we combined the power of NotebookLM, Veo3, ElevenLabs, Gemini, Luma AI, Google AI Whisk, Premiere and MisJourney along with After Effects to produce a series of dynamic, cinematic scenes that dramatised the clash between outdated backup systems and Eon's modern, intelligent approach.
