We made Gemini's student offer land through a fast, musical, relatable film, integrating real outcomes from Gemini, Nano Banana, and Veo 3, so the pitch for AI in daily student life was itself a product of that same AI.
Challenge
Google needed to drive student adoption of Gemini across INSEA, not by explaining the technology, but by showing its everyday utility. The offer itself was strong: a free upgrade to Gemini Pro with 2TB of storage, but the campaign needed to make that offer land clearly while making Gemini feel like something students would actually reach for daily, not just a feature announcement.
Approach
Instead of a straightforward explainer, we built a fast-paced musical film, grounding Gemini's capabilities in real student use-cases rather than abstract feature lists. The format did double duty: it simplified what Gemini can do, while seamlessly folding the student offer into the story rather than bolting it on as a call-to-action at the end.
The production itself mirrored the pitch. We integrated real life results from Gemini, Nano Banana, and Veo 3, into the script and visuals making the film a working demonstration of the product it was selling, not just a message about it.
Results
The campaign drove a sharp spike in student sign-ups to the Gemini community. But beyond the offer's pull, the film itself became a genuinely high-engagement, relatable piece of content in its own right, proof that a musical, use-case-led approach can carry both awareness and conversion at once.
