Life in a Day

Our collaboration with Google Creative Lab, YouTube, Kevin MacDonald, Ridley Scott and, Rehabstudio to chronicle the story of a single day on earth.

We invented the overarching identity, art direction, messaging, and produced the global promotional campaign to encourage the YouTube community to get involved…and lots of them did. Each phase of the project required a considered approach - the launch, filming day, video upload, and the premiere broadcast live from the Sundance Film Festival.

Results

Over 80,000 submissions with 4,500 hours of footage from 192 countries.

Scott Free took the raw material — all shot on July 24, 2010 — and created Life in a Day, a groundbreaking, feature-length documentary that portrays a kaleidoscope of images we call life.
