Naming and branding a new award for an iconic creative institution

D&AD represents global creative, design and advertising communities and celebrates brilliance in commercial creativity.
They approached us to produce graphic identity concepts and a promotional video for a new award aimed at emerging directors.

Being the benchmark of creative excellence and well known for displaying a brand aesthetic that encapsulates design in its purest, most graphic form, we focused on designing a striking identity inspired by their past communications and awards.

We combined the fast forward or next symbol and juxtaposed it with the hexagon shape of the D&AD Pencil logo, creating a bold graphic mark to be used across a wide range of collateral.
