The Role

Toaster is looking for an ambitious and eager individual to join our account management and new business team. This role will divide their time between servicing our teams across multiple clients and supporting the Managing Director in new business initiatives.

As part of the Client Management team, you play a central role in the business and are pivotal to the smooth running of your account(s).

You will be responsible for managing projects from brief to final delivery in collaboration with other departments.

You will be client focused and require good communication, organization and time management skills to manage your clients and internal departments, while always focusing on quality, process and profitability.

You must be self-motivated and focused on driving business development and building client relationships to ensure strategic business growth through lead generation and the end-to-end pitch process.


Client Management Responsibilities

  • Immerse yourself in your client's brand and offering.
  • Expertly liaise between clients and internal production/creative teams to ensure all parties have reasonable expectations and are getting what they need.
  • Set and manage client expectations, deliverables and timeframes.
  • Ensure clients understand agreed workflows and manage them through the process.
  • Identify training requirements and opportunities for clients to ensure their adherence to processes and improve workflow.
  • Escalate all serious client issues to your line manager immediately and recommend solutions wherever possible.
  • Identify areas for improvement of existing workflow and processes which could benefit Toaster and/or the client.
  • Build strong day-to-day relationships with all clients and agency stakeholders - communication is key.
  • Demonstrate ability to write, prepare and present as well as analyse and interrogate documents/ briefs, presentations and reports that are tailored to each client, style, preference, knowledge and experience.
  • Coordinate monthly operational review meetings with the client or as agreed with the client.
  • Provide weekly status reports to clients (or at intervals pre-agreed upon with the client), accompanied by a meeting or call as per client needs.
  • Provide agendas and detailed contact reports following all client meetings (face to face and phone calls).

New Business & Business Development Responsibilities

  • Drive new business leads by developing and activating new business lead generation and prospecting plans through a strong network of client & corporate relationships
  • End-to-end management of delivery of RFIs and RFPs.
  • Project manage and/or support the development of pitch collateral, case studies, credentials.
  • Support pitch team in a variety of functions: production, facilitating workshops and brainstorms, competitive research, data requirements, and logistics.
  • Assist in developing business development pitch processes and collateral library.
  • Manage pipeline and assist with monthly performance reports.
  • Drive best practice and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Assist and lead in developing approaches and content that facilitate intermediary engagement.
  • Ability to foster warm, prosperous client relationships


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 3-5 years experience within a similar role
  • Experience working with global tech clients
  • Experience of budgeting and forecasting
  • Strong time management/prioritisation skills
  • Capable of managing projects independently
  • Confident communicator to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong IT literacy, including experience working professionally with all Google Platforms such as Docs, Sheets and Slides
