Marketing Manager, London

The Role

Toaster is looking for a Marketing Manager to drive the marketing function for the agency, supported by senior leadership and working with talented colleagues across the world.

This hands-on role will play a pivotal part in the next phase of the business and is an exciting opportunity to drive awareness, new business and growth.

You will own the day to day marketing output globally, with support from key POC in each regional office. You will propose processes and policies to streamline the marketing function, supported by the Head of Strategy.

This is a hybrid role with a mix of marketing communications strategy, social media management, copywriting and client outreach.

Reporting to the agency’s Head of Strategy, you will also support Toaster’s regional leads in London, Singapore, India and San Francisco. We’ve only just started to scratch the surface of what’s possible for our marketing efforts. With so many great stories, products, services and initiatives, this opportunity is set up for someone who wants to apply their expertise in digital marketing to make a huge impact.

What you’ll be doing

  • Working closely with our Head of Strategy to develop a marketing strategy for Toaster, inclusive of:
  • Key social channels (website, LinkedIn, Instagram, email and search)
  • Website updates, including latest work case studies, times with project launch
  • Direct email/other marketing
  • PR strategy and outreach, experience in drafting press releases
  • Propose policies and introduce process to ensure quick responses to urgent issues or world events
  • Regularly reviewing our content plan across channels to spot opportunities that raise our profile as an agency (adopting a weekly/monthly/quarterly planning process)
  • Briefing our friendly creative team on new content ideas with the support of our Production team (e.g. social content, case studies, showreels, thought leadership, press releases)
  • Working closely with our New Business teams to ensure that marketing initiatives are aligned with their activity
  • Supporting New Business teams with reaching out to prospective clients through marketing channels
  • Collaborate with agency thought leaders to create new marketing collateral
  • Plan and support event attendance, speaking and sponsorship opportunities
  • Periodically share marketing performance with leadership and make recommendations on ways to continuously optimise our efforts (with the support of Head of Strategy)
  • Work with regions to identify awards opportunities that raise the profile of our work and talent and support with submissions
  • Work with operations team and other stakeholders to produce internal updates
  • Understand and adopt Toaster’s Tone of Voice in all comms

Skills & Requirements

  • Previous experience in a marketing and/or communications role
  • Comfortable being a driving force for marketing within the network, running marketing comms from content strategy through to execution
  • Brings competency, knowledge and prior experience of PR in our industry
  • Proficient with content scheduling, collaboration and publishing platforms such as Loomly (our current provider)
  • Comfortable in the process of conceiving, authoring, editing and distributing short and long-form content
  • Strong industry knowledge
  • Enjoys working with multiple stakeholders across markets and comfortable finding times to sync across timezones
  • Able to work with senior leads to maximise Toaster’s profile raising in each region
  • Comfortable with making CMS content updates
  • An ability to prioritise efforts based on what will generate the biggest opportunities for growth
  • A diligent team player with a keen eye for detail
